Sofía Quintana, MSc Pelvic & orthopedic physiotherapist

I'm a registered pelvic physiotherapist (MSc in Pelvic Physiotherapy), medical journalist & translator. After suffering twice from severe pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain (PGP), I ended up specializing in treating PGP during and after pregnancy in 2014, and now I work along Cecile Röst, the creator of Rost Therapy, to educate health professionals and help women with this pathology in Spain and Latin America. I believe nutrition is as important as movement for pelvic recovery and completed a master’s degree in Human Nutrition in 2013.

My practice aligns with the principles of Katy Bowman's Nutritious Movement, a game changer for many of us working in the movement field. I have a passion for learning: I'm constantly updating my knowledge and challenging my own beliefs when new and better evidence comes out. I'm humble enough to refer patients I can't help, and confident enough to keep the ones I know I can help. Not one practitioner has all the answers.
